Still have a Borders gift card? I would use it right away. If you can’t make it to a store, spend it online and get a gift to stash away for the holidays. With so much uncertainty, why take a chance that your giftcard would be worthless?

During the store liquidation sale, the gift cards will be honored but I do not know how long the liquidation sale will last. You can buy some Christmas gifts ahead of time, save a little money, and use your gift card before the stores close?

August 8th update – I called the Borders customer service number at 800-770-7811, and the recording stated that Borders gift cards were still being accepted.
