Find the Cheapest Textbooks

Find the cheapest textbooks here:

Do you know a college student or a parent of a college student? STOP them before they purchase their fall textbooks at full price!!

This money-saving tip for finding the cheapest textbooks was sent  to me by my reader Monica after she read my recent post on “Renting Textbooks”.

Campusbooks.com  has a side by side price comparison of the cheapest prices for textbooks including renting the book so you can see in an instant who has the cheapest price. Often you can buy your college books used, even cheaper than you can rent them.

The only drawback is that the books take time to arrive. In the future, try to get your books lists from your professors early. I rented a textbook on Chegg and it took over a week to get here, then I had to get it to my daughter at college. However, we saved over $60 alone on this one college book, so make a few trips to the library and read the book there until your the discount book gets to you.

Let’s use my daughter’s Physical Geology book to compare prices. The list price for this textbook is $106.31. I typed in the ISBN number and the best prices were listed:

Chegg- textbook rental $49.55.  Someone is selling this book on eBay auction right now for $22.00 and it is available at half.com to purchase for $75.48. A big price difference!

Visit campusbooks.com before you buy your textbooks and forward this to your college friends and their parents. You can also sell your used textbooks at this site and they will find the vendor who will pay you the highest  price.
