Movie tickets and summertime go hand in hand. I have searched far and wide and found 8 ways to save money on movie tickets, from FREE to CHEAP.
1. KGB Deals offers movie tickets for $4.00 in selected major cities. You purchase the tickets online and they are mailed to you. They are valid in the following movie theaters: AMC, Loew’s, Cineplex Odean, Magic Johnson, and Star. Canadian theaters are excluded and there may be an additional charge for 3D or IMAX movies. You can check the website for more details for the city nearest you:
Atlanta
Boston
Chicago
New York City
Philadelphia
San Francisco
Washington DC

2. You can pre-purchase discounted movie tickets to most of the major theater chains at Bulktix. Participating theater chains are AMC, Cinemark, Cobb, Landmark, Bowtie, Pacific Theaters and Regal Entertainment Group.
There are two types of discounted movie tickets available for purchase, a Value ticket which has some restrictions and an Ultimate ticket which has no restrictions and no blackout dates. A Value ticket at AMC theaters will cost you $7.49 and an Ultimate Ticket at AMC theaters will cost you $8.99.
The website is easy to navigate and understand but the FAQ’s section needs some work.
3. Fandango -buy tickets online first and save: Get 20% off $25 in movie tickets when you use your Visa Signature card.
4. Costco - you can purchase discounted movie tickets at Costco and online. There are 3 choices: AMC 4 tickets for $34.99 ($8.75 each), Regal Premier Super Saver, 4 tickets for $29.99 ($7.50 each) or Regal Ultimate Premier for $29.99, get 2 tickets and a $10 concession gift card.
5. Purchase an Entertainment Book - The movie ticket discounts alone will cover the cost of the books. My teen uses this and saves $3.00 per movie ticket. There are tons of fast food and resaurant coupons too. Preview the deals in your area before your purchase by typing in your zip code.
By using just a few of their coupons, you will get your money’s worth on dining out, (fast food to fancy restaurants), travel and entertainment like movies, bowling, miniature golf and family activities. There are hundreds of 50% off and 2 for 1 discounts available. You can preview it online by typing in your zip code to see the local restaurants and retailers that offer discounts. Here are some of the national retailers that offer discounts in the Entertainment Book: Borders, American Airlines, Cost Plus World Market, Bristol Farms, Gamefly.com, Burger King, KFC, Domino’s Pizza, McDonald’s, Subway, Taco Bell, the UPS Store and Walgreens.
6. Blockbuster is offering a free DVD rental for your child’s good grades. Your student can get one free DVD rental with a B average or better, on their report card. Multiple students from the same family are all eligible.
**7 & 8 have expired but offers 1-6 are still valid.
