FREE Red Cross Save a Life Classes

See my category “Today’s Good Deed” for more info like this!

*Expired….Join the the American Red Cross as they host the Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a Life Event on Saturday March 19, 2011.

The Red Cross is offering free CPR classes in more than 100 locations across the country. The 45 minute to one hour classes will teach the basics of hands on CPR,  the treatment of shock and how to treat wounds.

Just over two months ago, the tragic event in Arizona reminded all of us of the importance of being prepared for an emergency. Many bystanders knew CPR and emergency care and they were able to save the lives of several victims. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords received help from her intern, Daniel Hernandez.

This course normally cost $25 and are being offered free of charge through the generosity of the event sponsors, Safeway and Walgreens.

Here is the link to get details and to find a class in your area.
