New to the whole Groupon thing? Here is a prior article that explains this phenomenum:
What is a Groupon? I signed up to find out “How do Groupons work?” I get a lot of mail from readers asking about Groupon, so now that I have used it, I can explain it.
When you create a free account, you get a daily email with one ”big deal of the day,” it is usually deeply discounted, up to 90% off. It’s a surprise each day. Do nothing if you are not interested.
If you like the Groupon deal, you select “buy” before midnight and your credit card is charged. If enough people select the deal, you will be sent a link for your Groupon. If enough people do not join for that deal, the Groupon is cancelled and no one gets it. According to a recent Wall St. Journal article, 95% of the Groupon deals go through.
The Groupon daily deals have included restaurants, hotels, spas, theaters and more. When you sign up, you include your zip code so the daily deals are specific to where you live. You can also buy Groupon deals in other cities, even if you don’t live there and lately there have been some national deals for everyone, like $50 worth of clothing at the GAP for $25.
The Groupon concept is legitimate and the businesses are carefully screened before being accepted into Groupon. Groupon has a 100% money-back gurantee, even if you use the Groupon. If anything happens and you cannot redeem your Groupon, your money will be refunded. The customer service number is (877)788-7858. You can refer your friends and get a $10 credit to be used toward future Groupon purchases.
Groupon has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, Forbes and more.
You can sign up for free below and give it a try, if you don’t see any deals that you want to take advantage of, just cancel at the bottom of your email.

After Groupon, my next favorite “daily deals” site is LivingSocial. Last week, they offered a $20 Amazon.com gift card for $10 and many of my readers grabbed this great deal. Many used it for diapers and household necessities.
LivingSocial recently got a cash infusion from Amazon.com, so I expect to see more of these great deals in the future. The concept is the same as Groupon. You can sign up for both and jump on those deals that would help your family to save money.
Simply create a free account at LivingSocial and get their daily deals delivered to your inbox.
If you are “social”, you can email a link to your friends and when 3 of them join and purchase a deal, your deal is free! I love free.
If you like saving money as much as I do, subscribe for free to get my emails. No spam, no junk, just the best deals that I find. If you have a frugal friend or two, help me grow by telling them about MWLT. I sincerely appreciate it when my readers help me by sharing deals!
If you ever shop at Amazon.com, I would be grateful if you would use the search box to find what you need.I earn a small commission which helps me to maintain this free site. You never pay more to use my links.
Some posts may contain affiliate links. You will never pay more to shop through one of these links. I appreciate your support when you choose to use them.
