Beginning October 18th, Walmart will launch ” Straight Talk” with two lost-cost pre-paid cellphone plans (no contracts). The first plan will give you 1,000 minutes and 1,000 texts with 30 MB of data for $30 a month and the second plan will give you unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data for $45 a month.
There are several phones to choose from including the LG 220C for $29.98, the LG Slider 290 for $79.98 or the Samsung 451C for $99.88. You can read the details HERE.
You can transfer your existing cell phone number or choose a new number. You can refill your minutes anytime and there is no long term contact or penalties for early termination. If you don’t add any minutes once a month expires, you will lose your phone number.
The phones will be sold in 3,200 Walmart stores as well as online at Walmart.com or StraightTalk.com. You can purchase additional minutes online or inside Walmart. The phones will run on the Verizon network and were developed by TracPhone.
