Sears and Kmart are bringing back the Christmas Club with a 3% bonus for savers. You must activate your Christmas Club card by October 31st to participate. You can chart a weekly savings plan on the website to help you to reach your holiday budget goal. The Christmas Club Card has no expiration date and no fees. You can start with as little as $5.00. The 3% bonus will be awarded to you based upon your balance on November 15, 2010 and will be added to your account on November 24, 2010. You can add money to your account either online or in-store.
Here are some FAQ’s:
The Christmas Club Card cannot be applied as payment against your Sears credit card.
The maximum reward is $100.
Cash or credit refunds are not allowed except where required by law.
The cards can be used at Sears and Sears.com, Kmart and Kmart.com,mygofer.com, Land’s End and Landsend.com, and The Great Indoors and thegreatindoors.com.
If a regular savings plan will help you to save for your Christmas shopping, or even if you are saving for another purchase like an appliance, this may be helpful to you. This is a much better option than charging items on credit cards.

I have a popular article on my site about which stores offer lay-a-way plans which you can read HERE.
Walmart is bringing the layaway plan back in time for the 2011 Christmas season. Layaway at Walmart begins October 17th. You can layaway toys and electronics of $15 or more, including dolls, bicycles, video games and televisions, so long as the total purchase price exceeds $50. You will have until December 16th to pay off your remaining balance and take home your goods.
To qualify for the new layaway plan, customers must spend at least $50, and each item put on layaway must be worth at least $15. Shoppers pay a $5 fee to open the layaway, put 10% down, and the balance must be paid by December 16th or you will pay a $10 cancellation fee.
If you ever shop at Amazon.com, I would be grateful if you would use the search box to find what you need.I earn a small commission which helps me to maintain this free site. You never pay more to use my links.
