Treats for Troops is a non-profit that sends toiletries, baked goods, candy and more to remote military camps, hospitals, and bases. They will gladly take your individually wrapped left over Halloween candy to send to our troops. Often our soldiers share their candy with the children they meet. If you have not yet bought your Halloween candy, pick up an extra bag if you can and send it to this organization.
Be sure and get your kids involved. They can even organize a candy drive to collect unwanted candy, or maybe I should say extra candy, after Halloween.
According to founder, Karin King, many of our soldiers need the basic necessities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, shampoo, and more. Now we know of a great way to grab those free deals and nearly free deals and share them with our troops. We can send our toiletries and our candy to Treats for Troops, 29807 State Road 54, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543 and get more information at www.treatsfortroops.info.
I read about Treats for Troops in the October 17, 2011 edition of Woman’s Day Magazine and I knew that I had to share this with my readers.
