Southwest Fares from $40 One Way

Southwest Airlines is having a sale to celebrate their 40th years and many one-way fares are starting at $40. If your flight is under 450 miles, the fare starts at $40 one way. If your flight is between 451 miles and 1250 miles, one-way fares start at $80. If your flight is more than 1251 miles, your one-way fare starts at $120.

Just to compare, I live in Southern California and just booked a trip (with free miles) to see my Mom in Connecticut. A paid ticket would have cost me over $550. I checked the Southwest deal and I can fly round trip from LA to New York and back for $240, wow!

Take a look if you are traveling between August 23, 2011 and November 16, 2011. You must book your trip by June 23rd. There are some blackout dates and restrictions and taxes and fees are additional, but I hope you can score a great deal!
