**See my 2012 list through the link above….It’s Teacher Appreciation Week for 2011. Hurray for our wonderful teachers. I found a few discounts, deals, and tokens of appreciation from retailers. Apple Store - special pricing for K-12 and higher education faculty. 

Borders- Classroom Discount Card – year-round savings for individual teachers, from preschool through high school, as well as school librarians and homeschool educators. Save 25% off the list price of books and music CDs and 10% off the list price of DVDs for professional use. Applications are available at all Borders stores, and signing up is completely free. You’ll need to show proof of your educator status when you submit your application. Homeschool educators will need to document certification in states that require certification.

Discount School Supply -save an extra 15% on everything, use code FIFTEEN. Discount ends May 11, 2011.

J.Crew - 15% off with employee ID, in-stores only and valid at J.Crew Outlet Stores too.

Pizza Hut -most locations will offer discounts year-round of 10- to 20-percent off any meal with ID.

The Container Store - get 15% off purchases, after filling out this form You will get an email with your discount code. The offer expires on 12/31/11.

The Limited - 15% off with paystub or teacher ID, in-store only.

UNO Chicago Grill – from May 2 through May 5th, at participating locations. No coupon or promo code required to get this deal. Just tell  your server that you are a teacher and get 15% off your food purchase

Check with your insurance company and cell phone providers too, ask for a teacher’s discount.
