I have a college student, so saving money on textbooks is near and dear to my wallet.
The site I use is called campusbooks.com. The site has a side by side price comparison of the cheapest prices for textbooks including eBooks and renting text books so you can see in an instant who has the lowest price. Often you can buy used college textbooks, even cheaper than you can rent them.
Campus Books will show you the prices from the major booksellers such as half.com, Biblio, Abe Books, Alibris, Amazon.com, Barnes &Noble.com,Textbooks.com, Book Byte, Chegg (rentals) and Campus Book Rentals all at once, a real time saver!
Congress has required colleges to list assigned textbooks and their prices in the course schedule. Get the ISBN numbers and type them into the Search Box at the bottom of the post.
When you sell back textbooks through campusbooks.com, the postage is pre-paid, so just print out a label, pack up your books and wait for your check.

One additional suggestion – according to an article from The Wall St. Journal by Anna Prior, the author suggests asking your professor if you can use an older edition of your textbook. Often an older edition can be purchased for just a few dollars online.
