The Freecycle Network-Free is the Best Price

Last week, I joined the Freecycle Network (TM)  in my community. I have some left-over material from a remodeling project that I have wanted to find a home for.

In order to join Freecycle, you need a Yahoo ID which is easy at yahoo.com  and it is free. You can use another email address for your Freecycle membership, but you need the Yahoo ID to log-in with. You have to fill out a questionnaire and then wait to be approved from the group’s moderator. My approval took a few days to receive via email.

You will find a “home group” closest to you, and that is where you will list your items that you are giving away. You can join as many groups as you would like,  just consider how far you are willing to drive to to pick up free items from other members.

Everything is done online. It is important to keep your commitments to other group members when arranging for an item to be picked up, or for you to pick up an item from another member.
