Are any of my readers using the Grocery Game website to save money on groceries? All of her concepts are valid, except I can’t bring myself to pay even $10 to $20 for the membership. They do offer a free trial and their forums are terrific and free to use.
Here are my top ten ways to save money on groceries and I won’t charge you a nickel! Many of these free websites will show you what is on sale at your local grocery stores, then plan your meals based upon what is on sale and stock up on what is on sale.
1. The Coupon Clippers and Sunday Saver. These sites tell you what is on sale at your grocery store this week. Make your list based on the upcoming sales and try to match up coupons before you go.
2. BOGO Fetcher – Buy One Get One Free- this site tracks all the BOGO deals in your area, by zip code. Buy one and donate one to the local food pantry.
3. Coupons.com – free printable coupons on my site under “Today’s HOT Deals“. The coupons are uploaded constantly, so check back often. The first time you access them, you have to download a printer driver, (easy, just follow steps) to print out the UPC codes needed for redemption.
4. Alice.com – free delivery, great prices, automatic e-coupons. A great source to order your non-perishable items and household items like cleaning products, toiletries and pantry items. Introductory offer, get $10 off first order of $50. Alice.com will keep track for you. Simply create an account and purchase as much or as little as you want!
5. Coupons with no clipping – e-coupons that load automatically to your grocery store card. Swipe the card at check-out and the coupons come off your bill! Watch my interview with CBS in Houston explaining these e-coupons, (it takes a minute to load.) If you hate clipping and organizing coupons, this is the site for you!
6. UpromiseUpromise – Start Your Kid’s College Savings Today – Join Now
7. CVS bargains and deals. I wrote a prior article HERE about how to maximize the saving at CVS, using ECB’s and your Upromise card along with a site that tracks all the CVS deals for you.
8. MySavings.com- all the freebies, free product samples, trial sizes, free food giveaways are organized on this site. Here are a few of my recent freebies: Taster’s Choice Coffee, Viva Paper Towels, Alterna Shampoo, Twinings Green Tea, Rachel Ray Dog Food, Mr Clean Extra-Power Eraser and more. The only person who wouldn’t love MySavings. com is your mail carrier!
9. Angel Food Ministries and Great Food for All - both sites provide low cost, first quality groceries with no qualifications or paperwork. You can feed a family of four for $30 a week.
10. Start an edible kitchen garden - read about the easiest plants to grow.
You don’t need any subscriptions to the grocery game to start saving more money on your grocery bill. Try these free websites!
